Marmalade and Manners is an exhibition of work by artists who have links to the Oxford Wheels Project, a registered charity which runs the Meadow Lane Skate Ramps in Oxford.

All the contributing artists to Marmalade and Manners are linked to the skatepark through skateboarding and painting. This exhibition aims to raise funds for the Oxford Wheels Project to enable the ramps to stay open and continue to support skating and art in the city.

The skate ramps are built entirely from timber and require constant maintenance. The plywood riding surfaces are regularly replaced and this left the charity with a large surplus of unused “scrap” wood. Some years ago OWP decided mount the old plywood panels on the boundary fence as space for people to paint. Very quickly the ramps became popular with graffiti artists from around the country and the Meadow Lane Ramps is now an ever changing, organic gallery of artwork.
